FAQs

Are Ali-Craft boats built in Canada?

Yes. Every Ali-Craft boat is built in Prince George, British Columbia, using high-quality welded aluminum and decades of boat-building experience.

What boat models do you currently offer?

Ali-Craft currently offers two models: the Explorer and the Ranger. Both models can be customized to suit your boating needs, preferred layout, and intended use.

Can I customize my boat?

Absolutely. We offer a variety of custom options, including seating layouts, storage solutions, hard tops, swim grids, motor configurations, and other upgrades to create a boat that fits your lifestyle.

What types of waterways are Ali-Craft boats designed for?

Ali-Craft boats are designed to perform on rivers, lakes, and other inland waterways. Their durable aluminum construction makes them ideal for fishing, hunting, recreation, and exploring remote areas.

Do you offer boat repairs and upgrades?

Yes. In addition to building boats, we provide repairs, maintenance, custom fabrication, upholstery work, UHMW/Teflon installations, hard tops, swim grids, and other marine upgrades.

What is the difference between a modified V bottom hull and Delta pad hull?

We have a modified V bottom hull which greatly improves the cornering ability of the boat. This features a sharp V at the bow which transitions into a flatter bottom at the stern. This hybrid design offers the bes of both worlds, slicing through chop while providing excellent stability and shallow draft for calmer waters without reducing slow planing abilities. V bottom hulls also help with white water cavitation, as well as feeding the jet water more efficiently.

A Delta pad hull will create a more slippery ride, but lends itself well to load packing ability and slower planing speeds. In our vast experience, we find that the Delta pad hulls can slap or pound harder when running over rough waves compared to the modified V bottom hull.

What types of motor and jets combinations do you recommend for certain applications?

KEM 5.3L DI coupled to an American Turbine SD 309  - great entry level motor/jet package that lends itself well for boating less aggressive rivers and good as an all around boat package. This package can also be upgraded to the 6.2L DI engine, and the jet can also be upgraded with a larger reverse bucket and stainless steel impeller.

KEM 6.2 L DI coupled to a Hamilton 214 Jet - considered one of our most popular motor/jet combos, it stands as a “do it all” combo for all around boating, great load packing, and fuel efficiency. It has substantial  durability over the american turbine jet as well as a larger load packing ability

KEM 6.2 Di couple to Southern Jet 216 Jet- this is the ultimate package for load packing and durability.  The Southern jet also has the added benefit of an electric actuated trim nozzle with the option for hydraulic reverse.
